My Story
When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I thought buying a car seat would be simple. I was wrong. I spent weeks reading reviews, watching installation videos, and comparing safety ratings. I visited three different stores, asked countless questions, and still felt unsure if I was making the right choice.
After finally choosing a car seat and learning how to install it correctly, I realized something: this information should not be this hard to find. Parents deserve clear, honest guidance without the marketing fluff.
That frustration led me to create TopCarSeats.com in 2024. What started as a blog documenting my own car seat research has grown into a resource that helps thousands of parents every month.
My Experience
I have personally researched, tested, and reviewed over 50 car seats across all categories, including infant seats, convertible seats, and boosters. I have installed car seats in sedans, SUVs, and compact cars. I have experienced the frustration of a car seat that does not fit, the confusion of LATCH vs seat belt installation, and the panic of realizing my toddler unbuckled herself mid-drive.
I am not a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, and I always recommend parents consult a CPST for hands-on installation help. But I am a mom who has done the research, made the mistakes, and learned the lessons so you do not have to.
My Approach to Reviews
Every review I write answers one question: Would I put my own kids in this car seat?
I evaluate car seats based on:

- Ease of installation in real vehicles
- Comfort for the child on short and long trips
- Build quality and durability
- Value for money at every price point
I do not accept payment from manufacturers for positive reviews. My recommendations are based on research, testing, and honest assessment.
Beyond Car Seats
When I am not researching car seats, I am chasing my two girls around the house, attempting to keep my coffee warm, and convincing my toddler that car seats are not optional. I am based in Ohio with my husband, our daughters, and a very patient golden retriever named Max.
